The cars not to miss at the 2012 Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este

We're at less than 10 days to the Villa D'Este Concorso D'Eleganza, arguably the best Concours d'Elegance in the world. On the 27th I'll be at Villa Erba, on Lake Como, the venue for the public event.

You'll find many Instagrams of the beautiful classic and prototype cars on my Tumblog, posted live from Villa Erba. In the days following the Concours I'll post pictures (and maybe videos too) on the blog. Some of the cars participating to this year's Concorso are breathtakingly beautiful, and if you have the possibility to be there, you should absolutely go to Cernobbio.

These are my favorites among the classic and prototype cars, in alphabetical order:

Abarth

Despite the small size, these two classics are worth looking at:

204 A - this is the first car sold as an Abarth, based on a Cisitalia

500 - Based on a Fiat 500, it has a beautiful Zagato body

Alfa Romeo

4C - this is one of the most beautiful concept cars we've seen in the past year. A super light 4-cylinder supercar

6C (x3) - a great Alfa classic, in three different models all worth watching

Aston Martin

C Type Speed - a great car "designed by wind"

Porsche

365 Pre A - the greatest Porsche before the 911 series

I'm sure I'll see other great cars at the 2012 Villa D'Este Concorso D'Eleganza, these are just some of the greatest. You can check out the photos I took last year here. My favorite three from last year are the Aston Martin V12 Zagato, the Ferrari P4/5 Competizione and the Ferrari 500 TRC Spider.
