Milan Design Week Day Three: Ventura Lambrate

Last Thursday I spent the afternoon at Ventura Lambrate, one of the most interesting districts of Milan Design Week. In April Lambrate becomes home to a plethora of independent designers and artists. While some buildings host the work of local craftsmen, most of what can be seen at Ventura Lambrate comes from Northern Europe, especially the Netherlands. There's also a strong presence of art and design academic institutions – possibly one of the reasons why many believe Ventura Lambrate is where all of the most innovative designs are exhibited during Design Week. Here's a closer look at some of the processes and outputs I was most drawn to.
