Astonishing Abruzzo

  • Yesterday I’ve been doing a quite long tour around my parents’ home region, Abruzzo. We went to Santo Stefano di Sessanio, a small village near L’Aquila, to see an art exhibition that features works (especially paintings) from Florence’s famous Uffizi Gallery. From there we went to Calascio, Castel del Monte, and finally Campo Imperatore before heading to Pineto, where we have our beach house.

It was a hot and sunny day, but the sky wasn’t clear enough to take pictures of the beautiful panoramas of Abruzzo. This is one of the reasons why I took more pictures of the old buildings than of the landscapes.
